Dermaplaning is one of those treatments that sounds more intense than it is, but the results make complete sense once you understand what's actually happening. Using a sterile surgical blade held at a precise angle, our estheticians gently remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells along with the fine vellus hair, the peach fuzz, that sits on the surface of the face.
What you're left with is skin that feels genuinely different. Smooth in a way that's almost surprising, with a brightness and clarity that shows up immediately. It's not a subtle treatment, the difference is visible and tactile right after your appointment, and it tends to leave people a little obsessed.

Beyond the instant glow, dermaplaning also dramatically improves how your skincare products absorb. Without that layer of dead skin and vellus hair sitting on top, serums and moisturizers can reach the skin more effectively, which means you get more from everything you apply afterward. Makeup also sits differently on dermaplaned skin, smoother and more even than before.
This treatment is a wonderful option for clients who want exfoliation without the sensitivity that can come with acids or chemical peels. It's also excellent as a prep treatment before a chemical peel, HydraFacial, or any other service where deeper penetration is the goal. No needles, no downtime, just genuinely better skin.

Answers to your frequently asked questions.
You do not. Dermaplaning removes vellus hair, the fine peach fuzz on the face. The hair will grow back at exactly the same rate and texture as before. This is a common concern, and the short answer is it's simply not how hair works.
It depends on your skin. If you have active breakouts, rosacea, or inflamed skin, we may recommend a different treatment first. We'll assess your skin at your appointment and advise accordingly.
Your skin will be freshly exfoliated, so it's more receptive than usual. Sunscreen is essential afterward, and we recommend keeping your routine simple for the rest of the day. Avoid exfoliating acids for 48 hours post-treatment.
Most clients book dermaplaning every three to four weeks, which aligns with the skin's natural cell turnover cycle. It can also be done before a facial or peel for enhanced results.
